How to install a package

  1. Download the package file PACKAGEFILE.deb

  2. Double-click the package. It will be opened in the Package-Installer.

  3. Click Install to install the package.

How to install a package with the commandline

  1. Download the package file PACKAGEFILE.deb

  2. Start a Terminal:

    Menu Applications -> Accessories -> Terminal.

  3. Run command:

    sudo gdebi PACKAGEFILE.deb

How to add this software repository

  1. Open Menu System -> Administration -> Software Sources and select the Other Software tab.

  2. Click Add to add a new repository.

  3. Enter the APT line for this repository:

    deb http://hepp.gmxhome.de/ubuntu karmic main non-free

  4. Click Add Source and then click Close to save your changes.

  5. You will be notified that the information about available software is out-of-date. Click Reload.

  6. Packages from this repository should now be available in your package manager.

  7. To check the integrity of the digitally signed repository this GPG key should be downloaded.

  8. Open Menu Software -> Administration -> Software Sources again and select the Authentication tab.

  9. Click Import Key File and select the GPG key to be imported and then click Close to save your changes.
